About me:
I’m a second-year computer science student at NYU-Courant where I am advised by Professor Umang Bhatt and Professor Daniel Neill, and a member of the Trustworthy ML Group. My research interest lies in the intersection of Machine Learning Frameworks, Fair Machine Learning, and Human-AI Collaboration. Specifically, I want to build impact-driven, generalizable, and trustworthy ML models that can faithfully and effectively communicate uncertainty. Currently, I’m investigating intersectional biases in selective classification to improve fairness in decision-making across demographic groups. I am also studying when and how AI assistance should be provided to decision-makers to reduce the effects of overreliance on AI in collaborative settings and achieve complementary performance. Prior to joining NYU, I was a research specialist at MIT and KACST at the Center for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES) with professors Olivier L. de Weck and Munther A. Dahleh.
